Hello to all.
Over the past 3 years my husband has been in and out of the hospital due to heart attacks and physical injuries. he has currently been out of work since July 07. As a result i was placed in the position of providing for and maintaining my household which consists of 6 people. (myself, husband 3 children and a grandchild). When he had his first heart attack in January of 05 knowing he would not be able to work I went exempt through my employer for payroll taxes. Unfortunately, my husband continued to have health problems which resulted in him missing more work and me remaing exempt.
After 2.5 years and running up a tab with the irs of $16,000 (mostly penalities and interest) I realized that I could no longer remain exempt from payroll taxes. I made a payment arrangement with them but they have threatened twice to levy my assets. the only assets i have are my home and my job.
Please help me pay off these taxes so i can regain some peace and stop living in fear of them taking everything . I have no where for my family to go and don't know how I am going to pay this amount of money to the irs. PLEASE, PLEASE.PLEASE. HELP ME IF YOU CAN.
